CT Full Body Scan
This is a non invasive exam that takes images of four major areas of the body. These images can be reviewed and analyzed by physicians for disease. Most people who select this test are checking for signs of cancer, cardiac disease and other abnormalities that could be detected early increasing the odds of treatment. Often disease in these areas do not present life threatening symptoms until the disease is advanced. This scan includes a CT scan of the:
- CT if the Chest / lungs
- CT of the Chest/ heart (this exam will also provide a cardiac score to inform you of your risk of having a heart attack)
- CT of the Abdomen
- CT of the Pelvis
Who should receive this screening?
This exam is useful if you’re asymptomatic, yet want to identify early warning signs of disease or illness. Some diseases can affect more than one part of the body. A full body scan can give you a holistic view of your current health condition, allowing doctors to provide better diagnosis and treatment.
What should I expect during this exam?
This is a painless cat-scan exam. During the scan you will feel the table move inside a donut shaped scanner. The high speed CT scan captures multiple images. The scan will take about 20 minutes to complete.
What should I expect after the exam?
After the exam, one of our skilled, Board Certified Radiologists will then evaluate the images for the presence of disease or other abnormalities. We will send the results to you and the physician listed.
